We understand that Transitions Book Place in Chicago is looking for a New home meaning we my not have Chicago groups - if so, we will be starting a new group in Highland Park.
Power of Now ~ Discussion Group
Increase your self awareness by living an enlighted life. This work is based on Eckhart Tolle's bestselling book, A New Earth. Maggie worked for, and personally learned from Eckhart these great tools to aid us in turning depression to joy, confusion to clarity, and limitation to abundance.
Don't miss this unique opportunity to take your journey deeper.

None of what is perceived is evil, none of it is wrong, there is nothing you have to change or give up in order to be one with the Highest, because it is already and inescapably so. Again, none of that which is perceived is wrong, in yourself or in the world. The ego also is God. Jiva is Shiva. That individuality of yours, however wicked, contorted or funny it may seem to be, cannot exist without pure consciousness. Have no doubt about it. Individuality is also God.

Michael Brown No One Can Help Us Or Is Coming To Save Us.
No rites, rituals, outer tools, or ceremonial practices rescue us from having to face the authentic condition of our heart. We are responsible for our experience and the condition of our heart is the casual point of our experience. By carrying anyone else, or allowing ourselves to be carried by anyone or anything, we are being inauthentic, irresponsible, and heartless.

September 2008 ~ Satsang with Mooji
'How can I still the mind?' If you want to keep the mind still, I have some simple advice: Stop thinking about yourself, stop talking about yourself! Everybody is an expert on talking about themselves. And the more you do that, the more you strengthen and give energy to the sense of yourself as an entity.

This Advaita, as I talk about it, is not actually a philosophy, because it does not hold any tenets. It is simply a collection of pointers and concepts, and it posits that none of them are true in an absolute sense. This teaching is not about conveying the truth. It is about prying away the limitations and misconceptions about how things are." Wayne Liquorman - www.advaita.org

Satsang means "gathering together to inquire into our true nature." It is an opportunity through inquiry and dialogue to discover that the peace and happiness you have been seeking is already present, here and now. Satsang is a change to finally rest from all seeking and struggle, and to experience directly the completeness and perfection of your Being.

"You are thought's guru. Why wait for thought to realize the self? You are the self. We have the cart before the horse - waiting for thought and the body to realize its true nature so we can rest!"

Joan Tollifson
"For one instant, abandon all labels, concepts, answers, explanations, all efforts to improve or achieve a result of any kind. What remains? Sensations, sounds of traffic, smell of exhaust, smell of rain, hum of a vacuum cleaner, cheeping of a bird, breathing, seeing, hearing, awaring. Not the words, but the actuality. Just this, as it is."

"Awakening is waking up from the daytime dream and realizing that who you thought you were is not limited to thought, emotion or form. Beyond the imaginary seeker; beyond concepts and beliefs, there is a field of innocence and purity. We are this deep peace and sacredness, which is absolute and beyond all intellectual understanding".
